Water: Low to medium, well drained potting medium and do not allow to become waterlogged. 
Most species boast thick, fleshy leaves that contribute to their drought tolerance and vigor.

Light: bright, indirect. Some species can tolerate a bit less light. Most do not do well in direct sunlight.  

Pet friendly.
